Double Gap Farm

The farm sits high in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Our high alltitude make the climate here similar to that of northern New England. Cool summers, with a true 4 season environment makes this an ideal place to raise animals. On the farm we raise Entlebucher Mountain Dogs, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Friesian Horses, chickens (for eggs) and of course our milking goats.

Life in the southern Applachian Mountains is a slowser pace of life. The reminders of a simplier time when we depended on our surroundings for our needs is not too far in the past and evidence of that past are still apparent to this day. In this spirit we have taken on the chore of getting back to that life one step at a time. One piece of the puzzel and a release of modern convenience one by one. Making our own soaps was a natural step and also an enjoyable way to pass time. We hope you enjoy our soaps as much as we do.
